HSC NI Adoption & Foster Care is the largest recruitment service for adopters and foster carers in Northern Ireland. It is made up of adoption and fostering teams in the five HSC Trust areas and is responsible for recruiting, assessing, training, and supporting HSC NI adopters and foster carers.
HSC Trusts hold statutory responsibility for all children and young people who are in care in Northern Ireland. They play a central role in safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of these children, working to ensure that every child feels safe, valued, and supported.
Through their work, the service helps to provide safe, stable, and nurturing family environments for children and young people in care, enabling them to optimise their life opportunities.
There is a real need for more foster carers across Northern Ireland for children of varying ages and needs.
There are lots of ways to get involved in fostering that can work with your lifestyle and commitments:
- Short-term fostering
- Long-term fostering
- Short breaks
- Short breaks for children with disabilities
- Emergency
- Supported Lodgings
