Crisis Resources Information and Support (CRIS)

This provides contact details for services you can call if you care worried about your own or someone else’s mental health.

Urgent Help and Support

Emergency Department (A&E)

If you are having thoughts of suicide or self-harm, or are concerned about someone else, it is important to get help immediately. Please phone 999 or go to our local Emergency Department (A&E).

Lifeline

Free, 24-hour support if you are in distress or despair

PAPYRUS

Dedicated to preventing young suicide (Under 35s) 24 hours, 7 days a week

Samaritans

For a listening ear, 365 days a year

Childline

For young people under 19 years old

24hr Domestic and Sexual Abuse Helpline for men and women

GP Out of Hours Service

Available Monday to Friday (6.00pm–8.30am) and 24 hours at weekends and public holidays
