Our Service
Peer-led recorded exercise sessions to support stoma patients exercise safely and reduce hernia risks.
Treatments Offered
SHAPE is a peer-led exercise program which the stoma nurses and MDT social workers have been running for two years.
The aim of the program is to support stoma patients exercise safely and grow their confidence in exercising with a stoma.
SHAPE initially was in person so people would have the opportunity to meet other people with a stoma and offer a level of peer support. These recorded sessions are an extension of that so people can exercise at home with that add support.
