What does the Regional Trauma Network (RTN) do?
The RTN is a service for all victims and survivors impacted by the Troubles/conflict related events.
Across Northern Ireland, a Regional Trauma Network (RTN) has been created to better address the long-term consequences of the Troubles/Conflict on the mental (and physical) health of our population.
The Western Trust Regional Trauma Network team specialises in the assessment and treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Complex PTSD for victims and survivors impacted by the Troubles/Conflict across the Western Trust area. We work in partnership with our local Victims and Survivor Service (VSS) groups in the Western Trust area. Research is embedded into the work of the Western Trust team to further understand the voices and feedback of those who attend our service. This helps us to continually improve, develop and continue to offer high quality care.
