Staff across the Western Trust will be sporting a splash of seasonal colour this summer, with Support Services’ staff decking out in bright new uniforms from July 1st.
In all over 1,400 Support Services staff across all Western Trust sites will wear brand new jade coloured tunics, blouses and polo shirts.
Supervisors will also be easily identifiable in their darker emerald green uniforms.
Support Services encompasses a broad range of essential job roles, ranging from porters to catering staff, housekeeping to switchboard and laundry to domestics.
Although rarely in the headlines, these essential staff play an integral role in the day-to-day function of the Western Trust, including in the three main hospital sites at Altnagelvin Hospital, Omagh Hospital and Primary Care Complex (OPCC) and South West Acute Hospital (SWAH) as well as the community-based settings across the vast geographical area covered by the Trust.
Given that Support Services staff account for around 10 percent of the Trust’s total workforce, the new uniforms will certainly be noticeable around the various hospitals and centres over the coming months.
