Our Limavady Multi-disciplinary Social Work Team organised a successful ‘Hope and Health Matters’ pilot programme in partnership with Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council and facilitated by Resilio (NI).
Dermott McFadden, Social Work Assistant said:
“We are delighted with the success of our pilot programme entitled ‘Hope and Health Matters’ which was organised by Social Work Assistants in Limavady MDT and Gareth Scott, Sport & Well-being Officer, Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council and facilitated by Marie Dunne and Martin Heaney of Resilio (NI).
“The programme invited males aged 30-65 who are at risk of diabetes to take part in a two day course which looked at overcoming barriers to health with the aim of reversing / limiting that risk. Thank you to all the participants who fully engaged in this programme. Those involved will now be offered the opportunity to engage in a fitness programme at Limavady Leisure Centre and we hope this will benefit them in their physical and emotional wellbeing in the future. Well done everyone.”
