4th of August 1987

Why did you choose to work in the HSC?

I love working with people. I enjoy working as a team. I enjoy teaching parents and children how to adapt their diet to meet their nutritional needs. Children have always been my passion. Especially love working with neonates. Special babies to make their nutrition bring them to their full potential.

Describe what you do?

I have worked as a paediatric dietitian from 2002. I cover complex needs, palliative care and neonatal. enjoy working with Doctors, paediatric nurses and community children’s nurse to provide a team approach to nutrition .

The needs of these children are very varied and feeding methods vary with each group.

Give nutrition updates to our medical team, paediatricans, nurses and health visitors.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

Making a difference to the nutritional status of children in my care. improving their dietetic outcome. Working as an educator to the team. neonatal nutrition is moving forward with advancement of our knowledge to make a difference in their care and nutritional outcome. Giving evidence based advice with my practical knowledge.
