Why did you choose to work in the HSC?
I moved from England, never worked anywhere in Northern Ireland before and was only thinking of working for few months and then going back. I’m here now for more than 17 years, stayed here as I found the pace of life very comfortable for family, schooling has been good, found wonderful people both in and outside of the hospital and developed many social connections and now I am paying back to the community with my volunteer work.

What do you enjoy most about your role?
Its a job full of varieties; no day is ever the same ; you are helping a person who is going through most difficult journey in his/her life and you are making a massive difference in their life ; which is very very rewarding
