When did you start the HSC?

1987

Why did you choose to work in the HSC?

As a child I had eye surgery and was in the old Saint Columb’s Hospital for a full week. It is my earliest memory .Eyes were bandaged and parents were not allowed to visit for most of that week. It was a fairly traumatic experience but the staff were really kind to me. Following this I always wanted to work in a hospital.

Describe what you do?

I have a managerial role and a clinical role. My managerial role is related to governance, learning and development and practice education. My clinical role is related to rheumatology.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

I really enjoy working with people -staff and patients. It is a challenging job but it is never boring .
