Our GP Social Work Multidisciplinary Team in partnership with Derry GP Federation, Age Friendly Derry City and Strabane District Council and Public Health Agency are delighted to organise a special Chat Tea Ball as part of October Positive Ageing Month.
The Chat Tea Ball event will be held on Thursday 23 October 2025 at the Waterfoot Hotel, Derry/Londonderry. Doors will open at 6.30pm with the entertainment for this event starting from 7pm to 10pm hosted by local entertainer Mickey Doherty!
The overall aim is to provide an opportunity to bring people together through connection and engaging with other older people to target Social Isolation, Loneliness or limited connections. It will focus on strengthening connections within the community with the aim to improving overall health & well-being. This is a ticket only event and is open to people aged 55+ from the city to meet new people. So dust off the dancing shoes and joins us for a night of fun.
The cost for this event is only £5 per person. Tickets can be purchased at the Northwest Transport Hub on 2nd October 2025 between 9.30-10.00am. Alternatively please contact your local GP Social Work Team to register your interest in attending and to purchase a ticket. This is a Ticket only event. Please be aware there is limited tickets, it will be first come first served.
We are asking those who are attending to please advise of any dietary requirements when booking their place. We are looking forward to great night of delicious food, music and craic – places are limited so book your tickets early to avoid disappointment!
