What does the Daycare Service do?
Daycare is when people with mental health difficulties are offered the opportunity to engage in a range of flexible and tailored activities, usually in a group with others which will improve their wellbeing and support their Recovery. Daycare is effective in that it offers people the opportunity to make meet up with others, who have similar experiences and make important social connections. It provides a sense of belonging and helps combat loneliness and social isolation. For others it helps structure their day and provides the opportunity to engage in meaningful activity and learn new skills.

If the person decides that they would like to avail of the support , an assessment is completed over the course of the first few weeks and a careplan detailing what activities the person will do and how it will meet their needs is drawn up. This reviewed with the person on an annual basis.
