Congratulations to Rossville Group members who completed the Cookery Step Up Programme in Larry Hills Bistro, North West Regional College, Derry/Londonderry.
Vanessa Campbell, Senior Day Care Worker, Adult Mental Health and Disability Services at the Western Trust explained:
“The partnership between the Western Trust’s Adult Learning Disability Day Opportunities and North West Regional College has enabled members to learn cooking skills to help promote and maintain their independence at home. A huge thank you to North West Regional College for their support in fully funding the chef, kitchen assistant and learning assistant roles. The College also funded ingredients for the meals of our members. This has been a very successful programme for our members who look forward to developing their skills further in the near future. Well done everyone involved.”
John Fox, Rossville Group participant said:
“I really love this course. I can make great meals at home and I have made really good friends into the bargain!”
