The Rossville Group for Adults with a Learning Disability got creative at the Bogside and Brandywell Forum – The Shed Project as part of their Christmas Creative Arts programme.

Vanessa Campbell, Senior Day Care Worker at the Western Trust said:

“Members from Rossville Group Adult Learning Disability are delighted to be offered the opportunity to take part in woodwork and pottery taster sessions in designing their own unique products to take home or as a special gift for their families this Christmas.  The therapeutic aspect of this work is evident in all the happy faces you see here today. We would like to thank the Bogside & Brandywell Health Forum – The Shed Project for their warm welcome and look forward to participating in further activities in this wonderful centre. Thank you.”

Mary Breslin, Older People/Programme Manager at the Bogside & Brandywell Health Forum said:

“The Bogside and Brandywell Health Forum were delighted to welcome the Rossville Group to our recently opened community shed to take part in a creative arts programme. The participants showed great enthusiasm and creativity producing wonderful Christmas-themed gifts for family and friends.  Programmes such as these funded by the Arts Council NI are a great way to enhance skills, explore creativity, and learn from each other in a community setting. We look forward to welcoming participants from Rossville group and other organisations back to build on the success of the programme.”
