PRE‐APPLICATION COMMUNITY CONSULTATION
Proposal: Proposed erection of new Cityside Health and Care Centre, including a multistorey car park, site access roads and associated landscaping with additional public realm works, including pedestrian link to Quay Trail, and infrastructure works including upgrade of Pennyburn Roundabout to include additional lanes and associated junction improvements, to support the development of the site.
On behalf of the Applicants, Western Health and Social Care Trust (WHSCT) and Department for Communities (DfC), we would like to make you aware of the proposed development as outlined above and at the following location:
Location: Lands at Pennyburn Roundabout and to the East of Strand Rd, North of 173 Strand Rd, and South of Catalyst Innovation Centre Bay Rd, Derry/Londonderry.
How information may be obtained concerning the proposed development:
- An in-person Public Consultation Event will be held at Da Vinci Hotel, 15 Culmore Road, Derry/Londonderry BT48 8JB on Tuesday 29th April 2025 from 3pm – 7pm. This event will give members of the public the opportunity to find out more about the proposal and provide feedback to the project design team.
- An online consultation event will take place at 4pm on Tuesday 29th April 2025. If you wish to attend, please reach out to us through the contact details below. All requests to join the online consultation event must be received no later than 12pm on Friday 25th April 2025. After the request to join is received, a link to the online meeting will be sent.
- If you are interested in the development proposal but are unable to attend the events, please contact us to request further details and to provide feedback during the pre-application consultation phase.

The pre-application community consultation phase will begin Tuesday 29th April 2025 and conclude Tuesday 13th May 2025. The project design team will continue to consult with all interested parties on details of the proposed development until the planning application is submitted.
