Our Omagh Carers Knitting group have been busy knitting twiddle muffs and blankets to residents at Meadowbank Residential Home, Omagh (part of Age NI).

One of the Carers Knitting group members suggested making some items for residents as she had a family friend in the nursing home and the group were delighted to donate items to bring warmth and comfort to the residents.

Tony Cassidy, Resident at Meadowbank Residential Home delighted with the beautifully hand knitted twiddle muff kindly donated by the Omagh Carers Knitting Group.

These beautiful handmade items have proven to be very popular and the residents and staff are incredibly grateful for the kind donation from the Carers Knitting group.  The group plan to provide knitted items to other care homes in the Omagh area.

The group meet at the Tyrone and Fermanagh Hospital, Omagh every Tuesday morning from 10am to 11am and welcome any new members to come along and join (no experience required) as the ladies will be happy to guide and share their skills in a relaxed and friendly environment.
