The Local Involvement Group, in partnership with Destined and the Adult Learning Disability Team, have put together beautiful Christmas Activity Packs for service users whose day opportunities have been curtailed due to the pandemic. Support was also provided from the Health Improvement Department and Dental Services which was much appreciated. 300 packs were assembled and distributed. Many thanks to Destined members for all their hard work!
The aim of the Local Involvement Groups is to improve the lives of people with a learning disability and their carers, through sharing ‘lived’ and ‘learned’ experience. WHSCT staff, service users and carers work together to put forward ideas and solutions about how to improve Adult Learning Disability Services and to share knowledge and raise awareness about programmes and events taking place in local communities.
