The Personal and Public Involvement (PPI) Team is offering classroom based awareness training on an Introduction to Personal and Public Involvement and Co-Production from January to March 2020. This training is targeted at all Trust staff. The aim of the course is to give those in attendance the knowledge and skills to use PPI and Co-Production models at all levels of service improvement. Involvement is a statutory obligation for all staff carrying out any change to an existing service or planning to develop a new service.
• An increased knowledge of various models of PPI and co-production
• An increased confidence in their ability to involve service users.
• Developed skills in how the theory of co-production and PPI can be embedded in practice

Staff should use HRPTS to book a place:
• Login to HRPTS
• Go to Employee Self Service
• Click on ‘Appraisals, Learning & Development Section’
• Click on ‘Learning Portal’
• Go down left side to ‘Course Catalogue’ and click on ‘Western Trust’
• Click on ‘Equality & Involvement’
• Click on ‘Personal and Public Involvement (PPI)’
• Please note the system may only show ‘Course dates for next 90 days’: Change the number of days from ‘90’ to ‘180’ if the date/venue you wish to attend is not displayed
• Click on your chosen date and venue
• Scroll down to Book and click ‘Request Participation’
Your application will go directly to your manager for approval and the booking will take place automatically if approved.
