Due to the adverse weather conditions today we are experiencing some disruption to planned Health and Social Care services across the Trust’s geography, particularly in rural areas of Tyrone and Fermanagh.
Our focus will be maintaining safe services for our acutely unwell patients.
Our message to patients and service users is that they should attend all scheduled appointments and services unless contacted by the Trust to advise otherwise.
You may experience additional waits for your service, particularly if you are in a rural area. This will include our Estates Team who need to call to your home to repair/maintain essential equipment.
If attending our sites for an appointment, please be careful and leave extra travelling time for your appointment.
Many community day care centres will not be operational today and those clients impacted will have been contacted by Centre staff.
There is considerable disruption to our Homecare Services and we are continuing to liaise with service users and their families to keep them updated and if necessary, ensure alternative supports are in place wherever possible. Staff will continue to monitor the situation closely today to ensure that those service users identified as being most at risk are supported.
To help us to safely mange the disruption on services due to the adverse weather, we strongly encourage those with a non-life-threatening concern/issue, to use the Phone First service. Please call 0300 020 6000 (8.00am to midnight).
Alternatively, please consider other healthcare options, such as your GP, GP out-of-hours or our Urgent Care and Treatment Centre.
