The Health Improvement, Equality & Involvement Team aim to improve the health and wellbeing of people within the Western Health and Social Care Trust area as well as to address inequalities in health.
In Support of the Community Plan Fermanagh and Omagh 2030. HIEI In partnership with Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Statutory, Community and voluntary organisations play a key role in implementing community health & wellbeing plans in seven DEA’s of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council Area.
To date Brookeborough, Drumquin, Ballinamalliard, Hospital Road- Omagh, Westend- Enniskillen and Carrickmore have been involved identifying community assets within their areas, identifying health needs and working better together to develop and implement preventative health programmes/projects. This is an ongoing programme of work.
The HIEI team have been supporting Health and Wellbeing at CAFRE colleges including the Enniskillen Campus as part of joint working with other HSC Trusts to support students who study and live on site at these campus.
