We gratefully acknowledge an in incredible donation from Mrs Sinead Goan and her daughter Rosie from Trillick, Co Tyrone who presented a cheque for £12,000 on behalf of the Goan family, to the Bereavement Suite project at the South West Acute Hospital, Enniskillen.

The monies were raised in memory of their premature baby son Frankie Goan who sadly passed away on 13th August 2019 after 58 hours of life. Frankie’s mummy Sinead, Daddy Shane, big sisters Cassie, Nancy, Rosie and Connie along with Frankie’s big brother Danny all participated in the many fundraising activities over the month of August 2020 to mark what would have been Frankie’s First Birthday to raise such a tremendous amount.

Accepting this incredible donation on behalf of the Western Trust Maternity Unit at the South West Acute Hospital, Brenda McCabe, Lead Midwife said:

“The Goan family take great comfort knowing that baby Frankie’s legacy will be forever remembered in contributing to the development of the Bereavement Suite at the hospital. For families like them, who may sadly have to avail of such facilities should take pride that the love and memory of their beautiful son and brother Frankie will benefit many families in the years to come.  Thank you so much Sinead, Shane and Family for your kindness and generosity.”
