Fresh Focus Opening Of Social Enterprise Shop (5)

The Western Trust Adult Learning Disability Day Opportunities, Fresh Focus, Fermanagh are celebrating Learning Disability Week (15 June to 21 June 2026) with the official opening of their first social enterprise shop located in the Buttermarket, Enniskillen on Tuesday 16 June 2026.

Margaret Mulligan, Head of Service, Adult Mental Health and Disability Service at the Western Trust said: “We are absolutely delighted to officially open the doors of ‘The Shop’ in the Buttermarket, Enniskillen – a social enterprise created to give adults with learning disabilities meaningful opportunities to learn, develop new skills, build confidence and be part of something special.

“At the heart of this enterprise is a simple but a powerful belief: that every person has unique talents, skills, and contributions to offer. This shop is about so much more than selling products. Behind every item is creativity, teamwork, learning and a real sense of pride.”

Margaret continued: “We wanted to create a space that feels welcoming, inclusive and part of the community – somewhere people can come in, have a chat, support local and see what is possible when everyone is given the opportunity to shine.

“We know that true inclusion happens when communities work together. That is why we are especially grateful to all our staff, our families, volunteers, tutors, and all the local organisations who have supported us to get where we are today.

“Most importantly, we want to recognise the adults who attend Fresh Focus and who will be at the centre of this enterprise. This is your place, your opportunity, and your future.

“The shop will be open Monday to Friday from 10am to 3pm. Everyone welcome to call in!”
