Nursing student Carol Walmsley, from Enniskillen recently received an award from the Northern Ireland Practice and Education Council (NIPEC) in recognition of her excellence as a nursing student with the Open University while completing her management placement within the Emergency Department (ED) at South West Acute Hospital, Enniskillen.
Carol was shortlisted after her mentor Sandra Knox, Deputy Sister in the Emergency Department nominated her for demonstrating Professionalism in Practice, Person-Centred Care and Commitment to Academia and Theoretical Learning.
Victoria Howe, Practice Educator at the South West Acute Hospital said:
