The best place to deal with your urgent but non-critical medical matters, or to discuss any ongoing treatment, is your local GP practice.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many GP practices have had to change the way they operate and how their services are accessed, but they continue to see patients and deal with matters at a local level.
The processes for seeing a doctor, booking an appointment or requesting a call back vary between GP practices, so please call your own GP practice for advice.
The GP out of hours service is for people who need urgent medical treatment but cannot wait until their doctor’s practice opens. GP out of hours service is available from 6.00 pm during the week until your GP surgery opens the next morning, as well as 24 hours on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
Attendance at GP Out of Hours is by appointment only, so please call first on 028 7186 5195. The doctor or nurse will tell you if you need to see a doctor or refer you to another service. If necessary, an appointment will be given to attend one of the Out of Hours GP locations at Altnagelvin, Limavady, Strabane, Omagh or Enniskillen.
