Perioperative Nurses undertake roles in the specialist areas of anaesthetics, surgery and PACU (Recovery). Some of the roles you may be familiar with are Anaesthetic Nurse, Circulating Nurse, Scrub Nurse, PACU/ Recovery Nurse. Nursing Assistants and Senior Nursing Assistants also work in all of these areas. Don’t worry if you have never worked in the perioperative environment before, training and development opportunities are available and a career pathway is being designed to support you in your role.
