Ophthalmology trainee Dr Parvesh Konda awarded the prestigious Crombie Medal by the Royal College of Ophthalmologists
Our Ophthalmology Team along with regional colleagues are delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Dr Parvesh Konda, who has been awarded the prestigious Crombie Medal by the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
The medal is presented to the candidate who achieves the highest mark in the Part 1 FRCOphth examination at their first attempt, recognising exceptional academic excellence and dedication to the field of ophthalmology.
Currently an ST2 trainee based within the Western Trust Ophthalmology Department, Dr Konda’s success is a remarkable accomplishment and reflects the hard work, commitment and talent he has demonstrated throughout his training. Receiving the Crombie Medal is regarded as one of the highest academic honours for ophthalmology trainees and places Dr Konda among the top-performing candidates in the UK.
Colleagues were delighted to join Dr Konda at the annual Regional Ophthalmology Meeting in Altnagelvin today to recognise and celebrate this significant achievement. His success is a source of great pride for the entire team and highlights the high standard of education, training and patient care delivered within ophthalmology services across Northern Ireland.
