Service Users with their certificates for completing the Safer Eating and Drinking Programme with staff

Service Users at the Omagh Centre, a day service for Adults with Learning Disabilities, recently completed a six week programme on Safer Eating and Drinking.  Service Users were presented with their certificates by Ciara Rodgers, Day Care Manager, Siobhan Hood and Gillian Fleming from the Adult Speech and Language Therapy Service who delivered the programme and Janice Mc Allister, Learning Disability Nurse at the Omagh Centre.

The Service Users thoroughly enjoyed all the sessions, gaining knowledge on safe eating and drinking strategies.  Janice Mc Allister also delivered a session on what to do in the event of someone choking.  This should hopefully be really helpful in continuing to promote safe eating and drinking for the Service Users.
