As part of the regional carers strategy, Caring for Carers, the Western Trust keep a register (database) of Carers. This is a mailing list that the Trust uses to keep you up-to-date. The database is managed in line with Data protection legislation. Personal details will be confidential and not passed on to any other organisation.
What is the purpose of the Register?
It will give the Western Trust more information about the numbers of Carers and who they are caring for. From time to time the Western Trust’s Carer Support Co-ordinator will send out relevant information about carers issues or events, which will help to support you in your caring role. This is mainly in the form of the Carers Newsletter.
How do I register?
Complete the consent form contained in the Carers Handbook. Return the completed form to the Carer Support Co-ordinator for your area.
